Obituary for Nola Mae Rowley

Nola Mae Rowley
Nola Mae Rowley was born December 3, 1925 in Colorado Springs and left this life on March 31, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward Rowley; her brother, Donald Nelson; her mother, Beulah Nelson; and her father, Roy Nelson. She is survived by her brother, Jerry Nelson; three children: Renee Fleming, Sam Rowley, and JoAnn Rock; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was employed at Mountain Bell for several years and then later worked at Bowl Mor Lanes, where she ran the counter and was a bowling instructor. Most of all, she was an excellent mother and caregiver to so many. She was known for having a large Christmas Eve party every year to entertain family and friends. She was an avid gardener and planted a huge vegetable garden every summer. She helped with all the grandchildren growing up, drove them all to school and helped them with their homework. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be Monday, April 9, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 both at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard. Private entombment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum.
