Keiko Loretta Davis, 70, passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Sunday, August 26, 2018.
She was born on December 10, 1947 in Misawa, Japan.
Keiko is survived by her loving husband, William “Mike” Davis of 47 years of marriage; her three children: Taketomo Ogawa, Michael Davis, and Belinda Bruin; and 5 grandchildren: Jesse, Serena, Selena, Liyah, and Victoria. Also surviving are 3 sisters and 1 brother from Japan: Kazuko, Takako, Wakako, Satoru; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers: Masakazu and Tomio.
Keiko was a longtime active member of Soka Gakkai International. She was well known for her dedication and friendliness. Her specialty was making Japanese New Year’s food baskets for her group members and friends.
Keiko enjoyed craft arts as a certified Japanese BUNKA embroidering instructor and Bonsai instructor.
Keiko loved to cook traditional Japanese dishes, playing the Koto, a good game of mahjong with the family, and bingo with all her children and grandchildren.
Keiko was a loving mother above all else!
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Private interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
