Aaron Nicholas Zemler, age 93, passed away October 28, 2021, in Colorado Springs. He was born November 9, 1927, in Beverly, Kansas to Joseph and Gladys (Taylor) Zemler.
Aaron was raised in Kansas and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Salina. He was a resident of Colorado Springs since 1964 and worked in commercial real estate for 46 years. He owned and operated A to Z Realty for a number of years during this period.
Aaron was very proud of his service with the United States Army and was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus group from St. Patrick Catholic Church in Colorado Springs. He was an avid Broncos fan and loved to go hunting with his sons. He was a horseman and kept several of his own horses for a period of 25 years. He particularly liked Appaloosas.
He married the love of his life, Connie Spencer, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina, Kansas in 1951.
He is survived by his wife; son, Bobby; 3 daughters, Julie, Lana, and Jennifer; 2 brothers, Gerard and Leonard; and sister Joann. He was preceded in death by his son Danny. Aaron was surrounded by his five grandchildren, Kimberly, Nicholas, Melissa, Spencer, and Mackenzie. Also he had five great-grandchildren Michael, Erin, Damien, Mia, and Benjamin.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 5, 2021, at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado. Entombment with military honors will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Garden of Angels Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Aaron’s memory to Compassus Hospice.
