Adonisa (Mary) Ophelia Santistevan, 89, of Colorado Springs went home to be with Jesus on August 25, 2021, surrounded by family. She was born May 1, 1932, to Porfirio and Benedicta Abila in Redwing, Colorado.
Mary, a Colorado Springs resident since 1955, helped her husband run his business, Jim’s Professional Maintenance. She loved baking and cooking for her family and enjoyed gardening.
Mary’s greatest accomplishment was being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved being surrounded by family.
She was an amazing and supportive wife to Santiago (James) Santistevan, love of her life, for over 51 wonderful years. Together they raised 5 children.
She will be greatly missed by: LaVerne (Tony) Funny, Rodney (Carmen) Santistevan, and Theresa (Keith) Spaulding. She is preceded in death by sons, James Leroy and Kenneth Dean Santistevan. She is survived by her 3 children, 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Boulevard.
