Alicia K. Chavez-Wood, 62 years old, joined the Lord on May 2, 2023. Alicia was born on January 11, 1961, to Jesus and Edith Chavez.
She fiercely loved her family and friends and had a love for cooking and gardening. Alicia had a sense of adventure and comforting presence to match her sweet and loving personality. She carried a light with her to everyone she encountered, she was a kind and wonderful person.
Alicia is survived by her husband, Michael Wood; her brother, Karl Chavez; daughters: Jessica and Danielle Wojtowicz; grandchildren: Aiden and Ayla Perkins; stepson, Nick Wood and family; niece and nephew: Emily and Robert Session and children.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Jesus and Edith Chavez and brother Roy Chavez.
Alicia was an amazing mother, loving wife, grandmother and friend.
She will be missed forever. Love you always, your family.
A Memorial Service to be held Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 10:30 am at Shrine of Remembrance, “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado.
