Allen D. Taylor
Allen D. Taylor, a resident of Colorado Springs for 42 years, passed away February 2, 2014. He was an engineer with the United States Government and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He also owned and operated Neptune’s Realm, a local tropical fish supply store.
Allen was born on March 2, 1943 in Renton, Washington to Clifford LeRoy and Ethel Marjorie (Beavens) Taylor.
Allen was kind and generous, and was a great help to so many people. He loved studying the Bible, spending time in the mountains, and hiking.
He is survived by a brother, Gordon Taylor; a step-daughter, Anna Santistevan; Sonny Gettler; his granddaughter, Victoria Vigil; his great-grandchildren: Yisel Vigil, Joseph Vigil, and Dolores Vigil; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Joseph Vigil.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on February 22, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 701 North 20th Street. A private inurnment will take place at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum.
