October 13, 1936 – November 5, 2022
Angelica Barba, God’s beloved daughter, a mother who poured herself for her sons, a friend who encouraged and cared selflessly, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at her home in Colorado Springs.
She was born on October 13, 1936 in Mexico, City, Mexico, into limited means and education. Angelica’s voracious and independent spirit took her around the world. As a stenographer, stewardess, diplomat, and interpreter, she opened doors with charm, excellence and persistence. She was adventurous and courageous and devoted herself to bravely opening opportunities for her sons to experience the world.
A purposeful, caring, joyous friend, her generous and optimistic spirit shone. The epitome of healthy eating and exercise, her commitment to movement continued as her physical challenges intensified.
In the dusk of her life, her spirit opened to God’s. She found a savior and a friend. She found His strength, His comfort, His hope. She inspired us all with her determination and her thankful heart. She was salt and light and now she wears a crown beside her Father.
