Anita Rae Bartley
Anita Rae Bartley, age 66, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1956, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at a local hospital. She was a loving companion, mother, daughter, and friend.
Anita Rae Fogle was born on July 12, 1946 in Alva Oklahoma to Arvie Lee Fogle and Edna Pauline (Bolar) Fogle. She graduated from Widefield High School in Security. She worked for many years as an Office Manager and Accountant. She was also a co-facilitator for pregnant and parenting teens at PPFC and KPC.
Anita loved the springtime and watching everything turn green, the flowers start to bloom, and the birds start to sing.
She will be best remembered for her selfless devotion and dedication in caring for others, and her beautiful smile.
Anita is survived by her loving companion of 25 years, Bradley Blower; two daughters, Deana Blanton and Leigh Thompson; her mother, Edna Fogle; and her brother, Arvie Fogle. She was preceded in death by her father, Arvie Lee Fogle.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. A reception will follow at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Anita’s name may be made to KPC Kids Center.
