June 21, 1935 – December 18, 2020
On Friday, December 18, 2020, Annamarie Mason, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away at the age of 85, in Colorado Springs.
She was born on June 21, 1935 in Solbad Hall, Tirol, a small village outside Innsbruck, Austria.
An accomplished pianist, Annamarie moved to America in 1956. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with special distinction from Southern Colorado State College in 1973 and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Colorado College in 1984, the same year she was nominated for Colorado Teacher of the Year.
Annamarie is survived by her three children, Robert (Colorado Springs), Julius (Wellington, FL) and Valerie (Wilmington, NC), and four grandchildren, Lyndon, David, JD and Makenzie. Her husband, Julius Mason, died in 2004.
A funeral service will be hosted on Monday, Dec. 28–viewing at 1:00 p.m. and funeral at 2:00 p.m.–at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO.

Your mom was so good to our family, then new to the Springs. We shared Christmases, hanging out and music together.
