Arthur Tinker, age 98, beloved father and friend, passed away on January 29, 2022, in Colorado.  Arthur was a resident of California for most of his life.  He proudly served as a Marine during World War II and later worked as a delivery driver for the food industry.  He was a member of Teamsters union for 20 years.  Arthur married Virginia May Allen, now deceased, on January 20, 1945, in Santa Barbara, California. 

Arthur was a member of Band of Brothers in Oregon, Marine Corps League, and Devil Dogs.  He enjoyed playing chess, water and snow skiing, woodworking, archery, hunting with a bow and later with a rifle, and riding motorcycles. Arthur is most admired and remembered for his honesty, integrity, wonderful sense of humor, and his ability to always give his love unconditionally.

                Arthur is survived by his daughters: Sheryl Farris and Lark Suit; his grandchildren: William Bystricky, Eric Suit, Kevin Suit, Audrey Harris, Aaron Tinker, and Gretchen Tinker: and many beloved great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by wife: Virginia May Tinker; his sister: Mildred Sterpka; and his son: Brian Tinker.

       Arthur will have a simple cremation in Colorado. When weather permits, his cremains will be transported to California to be placed in the family plot.
