Arthur L. Kile, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1973, passed away July 10, 2015. He formerly worked in Sales and Management at State Farm Insurance. Prior to this he was both a teacher and school administrator in Nebraska.

Arthur was born on October 8, 1932 to James B. and Amelia C. (Specht) Kile in Eddyville, Nebraska. In 1950, he married Beverley J. Kile in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

He was involved in community service as a member of the Pikes Peak District of Sertoma. He was also a member of the Pikes Peak Model A Ford Club and Veteran Motor Car Club. Art enjoyed golf, travel and riding in his Model A cars.

He is survived by two sons: Doug (wife Judy) Kile and Russ (wife Vanessa) Kile; a sister Mary Jane Houchin; four grandchildren: Jenny, Brian, Justin and Samantha; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverley, son Rick (wife Karen) Kile, one sister and three brothers.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Entombment will take place at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Garden of Angels.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Art’s memory, to the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado.
