Ashli Gabrielle Abner, 28, passed away from this earth at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016. She was born on March 5, 1988 to Cheryl and Terry Abner in Gainesville, Florida. She briefly attended the Arizona Glendale unified public school system and was a graduate of Tesla High School in Colorado Springs. Ashli attended Pikes Peak Community College where she received her Associates Degree. She was a current student at Colorado State University and was majoring in Music Education.
Ashli was musically gifted. Her instruments of choice were the flute and the violin. Her talents led to memberships in the Colorado State University flute choir and symphonic band as well as the marching band.
Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of her loving parents: Cheryl and Terry Abner; brother, Terrence (Judy) Abner; nephew, Nigel Abner; paternal grandparents: Margaret and Arthur Washington, Sr. and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and caring friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Malachi Perry and Hattie Ross Perry Gardner.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
