Barbara Ann Johnson

Barbara Ann Johnson, age 89, passed away on October 12, 2016. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 61 years and was formerly a resident of Denver, Colorado. She was a Homemaker.

Barbara was born on July 9, 1927 to Donald Irwin McCarl and Ellen Mae (Seely) McCarl in Denver, Colorado. On February 27, 1948 she married Harry Gilbert Johnson Sr in Denver, Colorado.

Barbara was fond of crocheting and needlework. She also enjoyed indoor horticulture and had an appreciation for growing African Violets. She was a member of VFW Post #4051 in Colorado Springs and was a Past President of the VFW Ladies Auxillary.

She is survived by her loving husband, Harry Gilbert Johnson Sr; her children: Janet Lee Rusk, Harry Gilbert Johnson Jr; her grandchildren: Jeffery Robert Rusk, Thomas Joseph Johnson; her great-grandchildren: Keith Rusk, Taylor Rusk, Jaycie Reyes, Caitlynn Dunnells, and Cassidy Dunnells.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, October 21 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs Colorado.
