Barbara Frazier
Barbara Frazier, age 79, went to be with her Lord on November 9, 2012 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, surrounded by her family. Barbara was a loving wife and an attentive mother. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barbara was a talented artist and made beautiful quilts. Barbara also selflessly volunteered her time and resources to help others in her church and community.
Barbara was born on April 16, 1933 in Rocky, Oklahoma to Oscar and Vernice (Dietrich) Bush. She married the love of her life, Bennie Frazier, on September 2, 1950 in Cordell, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bennie, of Colorado Springs; her children: Paula (husband Henry) Gonzalez, Deborah (husband Chris) Mills of Santa Ana, California, and John (wife Nancy) Frazier of Colorado Springs; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law Faye Harms of Little Rock, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two brothers Jimmie, and Eugene; and her daughter, Pamela Beaudine.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. A reception will then be held at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Private interment will be at the Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the Quilting Ministry of Calvary Worship Center, 501 Castle Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.
Barbara was an encouragement and joy to all who met her. She will be greatly missed.
