Becky Knight, age 63, departed this life April 15, 2016 at her home in Colorado Springs. A Colorado Springs native, Becky was born on March 22, 1953 to Raymond and Zella May (Clark) Cruts. She graduated from Palmer High School in 1971 and went to Southern Colorado State College in Pueblo where she met her future husband, Alan Knight.

They graduated and then were married on August 2, 1975 at Bethany Baptist in Colorado Springs. Shortly thereafter they moved to Leadville, Colorado where Alan worked at the mine at Climax. Becky was a homemaker and a contractor for the U.S. Forest Service. They returned to Colorado Springs in 1986 where she was a docent at the Western Museum of Mining and Industry and also worked as a courier.

She had an outgoing personality with an uncanny ability to connect with people and a deep Christian faith allowed her to encourage and help others. Becky had a wonderful sense of humor and loved animals. Cats were always involved in her life.

She often sent greeting cards to people signed “ABC”, which meant Alan, Becky and cats. Becky was known for her sense of style and loved to wear big hats.

Becky and Alan did a lot of traveling, visiting France, Barbados, Mexico, Hawaii and historic sites in the Southwestern United States.

Becky is survived by her loving husband, Alan, and one brother, Gary (Marge) Cruts of Pueblo. She is also survived by one niece, Robin (Dan) Nassimbene of Colorado Springs, a great nephew Geoffery Nassimbene of Colorado Springs and a great niece, Maurie Rae (Fernando) Lucero of Pueblo West.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Zella May Cruts and her niece, Kimela Cruts.

A memorial service was held in Colorado Springs on April 20, 2016.
