Bernice Wofford
Bernice Wofford, age 89, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1952 and formerly of Ramah, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at a local care center. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend.
Bernice Lee Bridgeman was born on May 1, 1924 in Jamestown, Kentucky to the late Carl and Belva (Bertram) Bridgeman. She was a 1942 graduate of Ramah High School and later married Kenneth C. Wofford on December 3, 1943 in Ramah. She was a member of the Country Club of Colorado and was an avid golfer.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth; her sister, Carline Snell of Colorado Springs; nephews: Gary (wife, Joan) Wofford of Lakewood, Colorado; and Robert Johnson of Estes Park, Colorado; and nieces: Carol Underwood of Arvada, Colorado; Becky Snell of Keller, Texas; and Kathy Kenyon of Discovery Bay, California.
Private inurnment has taken place at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven.
Bernice will be best remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and her sunny disposition.
