Betty Lou Barrier, 85, passed away June 30, 2017. She was born December 17, 1931.
Betty was a longtime resident of Colorado Springs since moving with her husband, Lyle in 1949. She was a sales employee of Sears for 34 years and a member of First United Methodist Church. She loved the garden, all animals, and God’s creations.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lyle Alvin Barrier. She is survived by a son, Jerry Dean Barrier.
A visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. following the visitation. Entombment will be private at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven. A remembrance for Betty will be held at a later date at First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, Betty’s wishes were to have donations made to the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, 4729 Twin Rocks Rd., Divide, Colorado 80814.
