Betty Rapjack, age 84, passed away on March 13, 2017. She was a long-time resident of Colorado Springs and was a professional secretary for District Eleven.
Betty was born on September 5, 1932, in Goodland, Kansas. Her parents were Arthur “Gail” and Beulah Butler. She attended Palmer High School and graduated in 1950. On April 20, 1952, she married John Rapjack.
Betty enjoyed cross-stitch and crochet, luncheons with family and friends, and her garden of poppies and columbine. She was a member of the First Christian Church, the Colorado Springs Historical Society, and Red Hat.
She is survived by a son, Shawn, and his wife, Shauna, as well as a grandson, Pierce. She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard.
