Betty Zuber, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in her home. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 43 years. She was born on Christmas Eve in 1930 to Herb and Gladys Lippincott of Pittsburgh, PA. She attended Pennsylvania Women’s College and then was married in 1950 to Carl Zuber.
Betty was a dedicated mother and wife, involved in many volunteer organizations, including scouting, Silver Key, and Penrose Hospital. She cherished her many friends, some of who shared her love of the game of bridge. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, camping, and traveling.
She is survived by her children (and their spouses): Michael (Tammy), Mark, Sue (Jim Depsky), Laura (Andy Lucas), and Rob. She had seven grandchildren (Nathan, Sean, Dustin, Katie, Alison, Nick, and Hannah) and three great-grandchildren (Lucy, Carter, and Aiden). She was preceded in death by her husband Carl and brother, Herbert Lippincott.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on January 15, 2015 at the Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs (1730 East Fountain Boulevard). Reception will be held at The Inn at Garden Plaza (2520 International Circle) at 3:30 PM.
