Beverley Kile, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1971, passed away January 16, 2014. She formerly worked with her husband’s insurance company as an office manager and many years ago as a teacher.
Beverley was born on June 15, 1931 to Elton and Nola (Cornford) Miller in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1950 she married Arthur L. Kile, in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
She was very involved in charity and volunteer work through Assistance League of Colorado Springs, Ladies of Brockhurst Ranch, and the PEO. In earlier years she volunteered at St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of the Pikes Peak Model A Ford Club and the Veteran Motor Car Club. Prior to becoming ill, she loved golf and travel.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur L. Kile; two sons: Doug (wife Judy) Kile, and Russ (wife Vanessa) Kile; three brothers: Bill, Paul, and Bob; three sisters: Elizabeth, Ruth, and Nancy; four grandchildren: Jenny, Brian, Justin, and Samantha; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Rick (wife Karen) Kile; and three brothers.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Entombment will take place at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Garden of Angels. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Beverley’s memory to Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Assistance League of Colorado Springs.
