Bobby Cornett
Bobby Cornett, age 81, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at his home in Fountain, Colorado. He had retired after serving many years as a check out clerk at the Uintah Gardens King Soopers.
Bobby Foster Cornett was born on October 24, 1932 in Leedey, Oklahoma to the late Boyd and Jessie (Robinson) Cornett. He attended schools in Oklahoma, married and raised a family. Bobby loved fishing and the mountains of Colorado. He will be best remembered for his kindness and generosity.
He is survived by his daughters: Amanda Merkle (and Mark Brown) of Fountain; and Sandra Hutchins (and Bill) of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; his son: Rodney Hill (and Brenda) of Colorado Springs; his sisters: Edith and Eunice; and his brothers: Billy and Jesse; and his former wife: Nancy Brady.
Grandpa had many, many grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Leah and two infant daughters from his first marriage: Katrin and Colleen.
Private family graveside services were held at Crystal Valley Cemetery in Manitou Springs. Memorials in his name may be made to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region. He will be dearly missed.
