Bonnie Mae Barbosa

Regrettably, Bonnie Mae Barbosa has passed away on April 9, 2018. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 12 years, originally of Jonesville, Louisiana. She was a retired hairdresser, mother, and homemaker.
Bonnie Mae was born on March 27, 1963 to Clinton Benford Germany and Mary Etta (Bradford) Germany in Alexandria, Louisiana. On June 20, 1990, she married Joe Barbosa in Denver, Colorado.
Bonnie Mae was fond of gardening. She also enjoyed cooking and had an appreciation for watching the Golden Girls and scary movies. She attended beauty school in Alexandria, Louisiana, working for well over two decades while taking on the role of full-time homemaker and best friend.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Barbosa; her children: Jeremy Cassels, Patrick Cassels, Katheryn Ashley Barbosa, and Victoria Barbosa; her siblings: Tommy Germany, Frankie Germany, Jessica Kerber, Suzzan Saucier, and Mary Black. She was preceded in death by her parents: Clinton and Mary Germany; and her siblings: Maude Germany Evans, Michael Germany, and Benny Germany.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. The funeral service will commence at 10:00am on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Services will conclude with a burial at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy., Colorado Springs, CO 80903. And a reception and celebration will follow at the family’s home.
