Lois Eileen (Schmidt) Bredow, 79 years old, was taken to heaven on November 14th, 2021. She was a Colorado Springs resident for eight months and was a 39-year resident of Kansas City, she also lived in multiple locations in Michigan and Minnesota. She was a retired Lutheran School teacher, serving her Lord at many Lutheran schools in multiple states.
Lois was born on September 21, 1942 to George John Schmidt and Vasie Pauline (Karnitz) Schmidt in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On June 20, 1965, she was married to Daniel W Bredow in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Lois had many interests including sewing, baking and garage sales but most of all she loved decorating and celebrating Christmas. Many of her retirement years were spent researching the family genealogy and teaching classes on it as well. Much of her free time was spent teaching Bible studies and attending church groups. Lois enjoyed family time playing card and board games. She was able to attend the Passion Play in Oberammergau Germany in 2010, something she dreamed of doing her whole life. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. She attended Minneapolis Central High School and Concordia Teachers College, both in St. Paul, Minnesota and River Forest, Illinois.
Lois is survived by her loving husband Daniel Bredow; her son David Bredow and daughter-in-law Tanya: her sister Gloria Schmidt, as well as her grandchildren; Jacob Bredow, Emily (Bredow) Parker and her husband Jack Parker, Christian Bredow, and Caroline Bredow. In addition, she is survived by one uncle, two aunts and many cousins. Lois was preceded in death by her first son Timothy Bredow as well as his wife Cynthia Bredow.
