On February 6, 2023, Brian James Foote, 56, of New Castle, Colorado, passed away after a valiant battle with cancer. He sought treatment in Colorado Springs to be close to his family, and slipped away quietly, surrounded by those he loved.
He was born in Aspen, Colorado on January 5, 1967 to Norman Eugene Foote and Carol Lou (James) Foote. He lived in the Roaring Fork Valley and New Castle for most of his life.
Brian truly enjoyed being behind the wheel. After his service in the US Navy, he worked mostly in transporting people, heavy machinery, and the Earth’s natural resources.
When not driving for work, Brian spent as much time as he could on his motorcycle. He was an officer in the Memorial Day Riders motorcycle club and assisted with many charitable events for US Veterans and children in need.
Brian had a heart of gold, with a smile that could light up any room. He never met a stranger that didn’t become a friend. He was well known for his happy disposition, fun personality, and tender heart.
He is survived by his son, Dalton (Rebecca) Foote; his older sister, Mary Coleen (Michael) Wayne; his younger brother, Stephen (Shannon) Foote; his aunt, Judy James; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Carol Foote.
Graveside Services to be held at Red Butte Cemetery in Aspen, Colorado on May 13, 2023. Celebration of Life to follow. Time and location to be announced at a later date.
