Bruce L. Hetzel, age 80, passed away on March 5, 2021. He was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Bruce was born on August 13th, 1940 to Lester Hetzel and Helen (Dreiske) Hetzel in Lemmon, South Dakota. On March 10, 1962 he married Marjorie in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Bruce was fond of art and was both a painter and a woodcarver. He was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years.
He is survived by his sons Norman (wife Carrie) and Edward; his brother Glenn; his granddaughters Alicia and Sarah; and his great-grandson Oliver. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie.
A memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, 23 March at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2505 Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and streamed online at tinyurl.com/alcsprings. Inurnment will be at the Ascension Lutheran Church Columbarium.
