This Obituary Has 4 Condolences

  1. I’ve known Burl since 1989 professionally before my daughter knew of Brandon. We struck up a friendship when meeting at the PAFB commanders conference room. Then after Heather married Brandon Burl and his wife plus my wife and me met at holiday occasions. I will never forget him and will long miss him. He always took the lead in figuring answers to problems. Now his help is needed on a spiritual level with his grandson Logan preparing the way for us.

WILL AND GREATLY MISS OUR 11 O’CLOCK COFFEE TIMES WITH BURL. HAD SOME FANTASTIC VISITS TALKING ABOUT HUNTING, TRAPPING, FARMING AND GARDENING. BURL LOVED MY WIFE’S (MARINA) COOKIES AND “STICKY BUNS” I BROUGHT FOR OUR VISITS….AND WE BOTH WILL MISS MAKING THEM FOR HIM. I WAS ALWAYS AMAZED AT HIS ENGINEERING KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL AT MATH. LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU….

  3. Burl and I were life long friends, we met in the early 60’s when we both worked for the Mo. Hwy dept. Burl & Bernadine lived three houses from us in our subdivision. Burl left the Mo. hwy dept and went to work for the federal govt. at Richards – Gebaur airbase just across the highway from where we lived. He was transfered to Az. when that base closed. He later transfered to Co. spgs. Co. Shortly after, we started Elk hunting and continued for 35 yrs +/- We had great stories and great memories from those times. Burl, Bernadine, their family and ours shared several vacations together and I will always remember those times. A great friend and I hope to see you soon. Phil

  4. I first meet Burl in 1989 when I started working at PAFB in the site support section. We struck up a friendship very quickly as we were both Civil Engineers working on projects together and had a love of firearms and hunting. He was a great mentor to me early in my career and I enjoyed our time together and visiting him at his home. On more than one occasion we would go “exploring” in his basement for bottles of homemade wine that he had stashed. I always enjoyed our conversations on hunting, firearms and reloading. Burl was an accomplished Engineer and a good friend. My condolences to his family on his passing. Andy
