Carla Faye Hernandez, Age 61, passed away on July 16, 2022.  She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 50 years and was formerly a resident of different states since her father was in the Air Force.

Carla was born on July 3, 1961 to Gerald Ray Clark and Betty Clark (Kirkbride) in Goose Bay, Canada.  On July 20, 1996 she married Phillip Hernandez in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the Miramont Castle in Manitou.

Carla loved her career as a Registered Medical Assistant working with Dr. Michael Berman and his wife Sheila in the OBGYN field for 8 years, then worked for other medical offices until 2014.  She loved working with her patients and getting them the care they needed. 

Carla is survived by her husband, Phillip Hernandez; her dad, Gerald Ray Clark of Abilene, Texas; siblings: Rebecca Sue Clark Pope from Washington, Jim Clark from Tucson, and Karen Clark from Longmont; her son, Brian Kruger of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her step-children: Melody Neal of Colorado Springs, and Ephriam Hernandez from Espinola, New Mexico; seven grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at 9AM with a funeral service to follow at 10AM on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.  Private entombment will take place at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven, Garden of Memories.
