Carlos L. Martinez, 77, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, CO entered into rest May 26, 2016. Carlos was born on October 20, 1938 to proud parents, Eufemia and Carlos Martinez.

Carlos had many loves- including dancing, the Denver Broncos, and shooting pool. He enjoyed pool so much, that he excelled in many Denver billiards tournaments and even found himself written about in a Denver Newspaper article… which he proudly framed and hung in his residence.

Carlos absolutely loved the Broncos. He was blessed to have watched the Broncos win the Super Bowl this year and said that it was “the best game he had ever seen”.

Not only did Carlos take great pride in his family, but he will always be remembered for how he took pride in his appearance. He was sure to always dress sharp, with his shoes neatly polished, and appearance clean and pristine.

Carlos is survived by one brother, Herman (Betty) Martinez; nephew, Ricky (Brian Groben) Martinez; Sandra (Eloy); Jeff; Cindy (Doug): David (Raquel); Barbra (Gilbert); Johnny (Francis) and several other loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by both parents, Carlos & Eufemia Martinez; Jose (brother); Viola (sister).

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 1st, 2016, 10am at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held at 9:40am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Blind Foundation.
