May 20, 1934 – June 10, 2024
Carol was the second of five children born to H.A. “Andy” and Ruth Harrison in Fairfield, Iowa. Carol graduated from Fairfield High School in 1952 and attended Parsons College where she met her husband, Bruce Millhollin. The two were married May 24, 1953. Following Bruce’s military service in Iowa and Nebraska, they moved to Colorado Springs where they were blessed with two daughters and one son: Lisa, Traci, and Douglas.
Carol worked for Spear Engineering Company until Lisa was born. Then she worked as a homemaker, caring for all facets of her family’s life. She went on to have a successful career at Farmers Insurance while supporting her husband’s business. She loved volunteering, serving four years as Chairman of their retirement community Resident Council. Carol found the most joy creating memories with her family. She also loved RV travels with Bruce and cheering for the Denver Broncos. She was a proud member of First Christian Church, Colorado Springs Country Club, and Red Hat Ladies.
She is survived by her husband Bruce; sisters: Kay, Christy and Robert; children: Lisa, Traci and Brian, Douglas and Anita; grandchildren: Jessica and Caleb, Amy, Nathan and Bailey, Jordan and Jacey, Chauntel and Jeremy; and great-grandchildren: Declan, Rowan, Aelynn, Arlen, and Evelina.

22 Jun 2024I was so sorry to hear about your mom last night. Didn’t realize until this morning that the services had already happened. She was always very kind to me and to my oldest boy when we were still at FCC. All my love to all. Jorja L. Horst (Wright)
