Cathryn E. McClellan

Cathryn was born April 23, 1924 to Landren Beryl Hunt and Lela Carrie Whitaker Hunt in Weaubleau, Missouri. She lived in Denver, Colorado from infancy to six years; then moved to Osceola, Missouri. She had lived in Colorado Springs since 1948.

She was married December 2, 1945, in Claremore, Oklahoma to Dr. Charles W. McClellan. She was a homemaker and medical assistant for her husband. Dr. McClellan and Cathryn built a respectable medical practice in Colorado Springs and were greatly appreciated throughout this community.

She was a member of the Pikes Peak La Sertoma Club, P.E.O., Chapter Y, and a longtime member of First Christian Church where she served as Elder, Deacon, and a Sunday School Teacher.

She is survived by her loving son, Thomas James “Jim” McClellan; brother, Gene W. Hunt; grandson, Dean Black; and many nieces, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. McClellan; son, Charles W. “Bill” McClellan, II; and brother, Tom Hunt.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 at First Christian Church, 16 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
