Cephus E. Williams, Jr.
July 10, 1938 – January 14, 2015
Cephus E. Williams, age 76, passed away on January 14, 2015. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 42 years. He was a Supervisor in the Community Service field.
Cephus was born July 10, 1938 to Cephus E., Sr. and Katherine Williams in Columbus, Georgia. On December 26, 1976 he married Barbara Herbst in Raton, New Mexico.
Cephus was fond of cooking, especially southern dishes. He also enjoyed fishing all over the state of Colorado. He was a lifelong member of the America Legion and the VFW. He served in the United States Army, for 28 years. He was very generous, kind and helpful. He was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his children: Cephus E. Williams III and Kimberly M. Cannon; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd.
