Charles “Skip” Harned, 59, passed away on November 11, 2016. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 7 years.
Skip was born on June 18, 1957 to Charles C. Harned and Helen Harned in Vineland, New Jersey. On August 18, 2011, he married Gabriela Campos Picazo at Red Rock Canyon in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He worked as a Realtor, previously he was an addiction counselor at Springs Rescue Mission and prior to that worked 28 years for AT&T management. He enjoyed candle making, maintaining his yard and fixing things. He was also a very gifted athlete, competing in football, baseball and swimming in which he excelled. He will be remembered as an outstanding competitor with a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gabriela Campos Picazo; his children: Dillon and Taylor Harned; stepson, Alvaro Campos; his father, Charles Harned; brother, Frank (Annie) Harned; two sisters, Helen (John) DiTomo and Patti (Pete) DiNunzio; brother in-law, Matt Previti; numerous nieces, nephews and a grand-niece. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Harned; and sister, Cheri Previti.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Private Inurnment.
