Charles Junior Buttermore
March 15, 1926-May 16, 2015

Charles was born on March 15, 1926 in Woodston, Kansas to Charles and Jesse Buttermore. Upon graduation from High School he enlisted in the Army and served in Europe until the end of World War II.

When he returned home from the war, he fell in love and married Jacqueline Marie Wildrix. Charles is survived by his wife of 68 years; their four children: Barry (Wendy), Susan (Don), Rebecca, and Rodney; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one brother, Leon Buttermore, and wife, Lois.

He started his career as a roughneck in the oil fields, and later became a painter in the union.

He loved Kansas, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, and antiquing.

His parents, eight brothers, and seven sisters preceded him in death.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery.
