Chesley (Krueger) Johnson, 85 of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on July 1, 2024. He was born March 26, 1939, in Littlefield, Texas. He graduated from Olton High School in 1957.
Krueger moved from Texas to Colorado in the early ’60s where he raised his family. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loving the Colorado mountains, he brought the family on many adventures from one corner of the state to the other. Splitting his retirement years between the Texas hill country and Colorado, he forever spoke of living up in the mountains.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Bessie (Conway) Johnson, of Liberty Hill, Texas; his brother, Bill; and three sisters: Woodie Raye, Avenel (Sitter), and Reba.
He is survived by his three daughters and one son: Denise Collins, Pamela Welz, Don Johnson, and Virginia Weich, all of Colorado Springs. Krueger is also survived by twenty (20) grandchildren and twenty-four (24) great grandchildren, whom he was able to spend time with during his last few years.
A private ceremony will be held for his immediate family.
