On March 6, 1972 he married his wife, Diane, whom he called his “Di” in Temple, Texas.
Chet was fond of hunting, fishing, and the beautiful Colorado Mountains. He also enjoyed singing and was absolutely amazing at it! Everyone who knew him will always remember his singing!
Chet served in the United States Army for 8 years where he fought in the Vietnam War. After his service in the Army he was employed as a welder and a machinist in Colorado Springs.

Chet is also survived by his eight children: Marie, Mary, Tammy, Margaret, Theresa, David, Shellie, Crystal; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with several brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his father and both of his mothers.
