He was 45 years old.
Chris passed away after a long illness.
Chris leaves behind his immediate family, Dana and Judy Sharpnack (parents); a sister, Stephanie Barriera (husband Danny); also a son, Nick, and a daughter, Gabrielle; and three granddaughters. He also leaves behind many cousins, aunts and uncles. He had three cousins he considered his brothers, Paul, Gabe, and Skip; and one special friend, his dog, Ren.
Chris was preceded in death by his older sister, Shana.
Chris was born in Colorado Springs and lived here most of his life, but he did live in California and Oregon at different short periods of time.
Chris was a jack-of-all-trades, doing many different things and developed many friends. He will be missed by many.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel.

24 Jan 2020Chris knew his Aunts, Uncles & Cousins houses were touched by him with good memories and the love he had for us all.
Please accept our condolences Stephanie & Danny. Also precious Wren, stayed by his side till the end, how amazing. May God Bless our boy, he was well loved by everyone that new him. Not to mention all the Dogs he rescued in our neighborhood, he came to earn his name as the Dog Whisperer. I also have to mention his brother Gabe, they were together through thick and thin, no matter what, everyone also knows that.
Chris, you have left us with memories, your were loving, talented, and loved to party. You will be forever missed by all.
