Clara L. Frank, age 76, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1966, passed away on October 15, 2012 at her home. She was an Avon Sales Representative for 39 years, a former Air Force wife, and a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.
Clara Lou Massey was born on September 15, 1936 in Azle, Texas to the late Johnson and Martha Jane (Hembree) Massey. She was married on December 29, 1951 in Weatherford, Texas to Albert J. Frank. Albert passed away in 2002.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, enjoyed traveling, and loved spending time with her family and numerous friends.
She is survived by her four sons: Albert (Sherry) Frank of Matthews, North Carolina; Rodney (Peggy) Frank of Buena Vista, Colorado; Floyd Frank of Colorado Springs; Sean Frank (Nickie) of Colorado Springs; three daughters: Karren Frank of Aurora, Colorado; Anita McMullen of Littleton, Colorado; Tresa (Peter) Josselyn of Ionia, Michigan; her brother: “Putt” Massey of Keller, Texas; and her two sisters: Pauline Allmon of Forest Hills, Texas; and Helen (J.D.) Warren of Saginaw, Texas. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Monica; two brothers; and a sister.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral home. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Please wear colorful clothing to honor her in this celebration. A reception will follow her funeral services at Verity Baptist Church, 1508 Tweed Street. Private entombment will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Garden of Angels.
