Clare Crockett, daughter of the late Helen and Cary Crockett of Colorado Springs, passed away from pneumonia. Clare had many consuming interests from baking cookies and bowling, to making pot holders and jewelry. She loved earning money by raking leaves, doing household chores or selling necklaces- earnings promptly spent on imported tea and cookies. Excursions to shop and have lunch or tea delighted her. For the past 8 years her devoted caregiver, Bea Garcia and family, provided Clare with a loving home. Frequent outings with her special friends Sunny Gelb and Mimi Fisher (Mark) gave Clare much happiness.
Heartfelt thanks to Clare’s coordinators from The Resource Exchange, Carmel Community Living Corporation and the wonderful staff of Goodwill Recreation and Leisure Center.
We are grateful to the many who bought her necklaces, shared her birthdays and treated her with respect. Her sweet and loving nature will be missed by all.
Survivors include her sisters: Ashley Crockett-Bieri (Jeff), Anne Pepper (Charlie) of Palm Beach, Florida and Ellen Jeffers (Lee); her nieces: Whizzy Harper (Bill) of Longmont, Colorado and family, Anne Weber (Scott) and family of Chicago; her nephew Crockett Jeffers (Kate) and family of Tiburon, California; and cousin, Terry Trowbridge Hays and her siblings.
