Clifford M. Snyder
Clifford M. Snyder, age 95, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1945 and formerly of Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at a local hospital. He had retired after serving more than twenty nine years on the Fort Carson Fire Department.
Clifford Mathew Snyder was born on November 7, 1917 in Glenwood, Minnesota to the late Egbert and Gertrude (Randall) Snyder. He served his country in the Army during World War II and received two purple hearts. He married Edna Isabel Thorpe on March 5, 1945 in Raton, New Mexico. Edna passed away in 2004.
Cliff is survived by his son: Regy Snyder of Brighton, Colorado; his daughters: Cheryl (husband, Robert) Mark of Colorado Springs, and Vicki (husband, Richard) Davis of Colorado Springs; and a step daughter, Barbara Graham of Atkins, Arkansas. He has thirteen grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-son, William Curtis, and a granddaughter.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Entombment will follow at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Garden of Angels.
