Crusita Lucero, 88, and our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away in her home, with family by her side, on November 2, 2018.
Crusita was born on July 6, 1930 to Cruz Lucero and Flavia Lucero (Montoya), in San Rafael, Colorado. On July 23, 1960, she married Frank Lucero in Elko, Nevada.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Lucero; children: Elaine Everett (Michael), Ruby Torres (Domingo), and Christopher Lucero (Lorie); grandchildren: David, Eugene, Reuben, Vanessa, Christopher, and Diego; and 6 great grandchildren.
Crusita was fond of gardening. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and loved making flower arrangements. She was always willing to care for everyone and will be greatly missed by all of those touched by her life.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of life beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A reception for family and friends will be held at Hillside Community Center, 925 South Institute Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
