Cynthia (Cindie) Cathleen Latke, age 51, returned to her maker on July 17, 2017, after a short battle with organ failure. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for the past eleven years and was formerly a resident of Buffalo, New York. Cindie is a veteran who served for 12 years in the United States Air Force as a Registered Nurse, and continued her nursing career in the private sector.
Cindie was born in Buffalo, New York on February 28, 1966 to Mildred Latke. She joined the Air Force after graduating from D’Youville College in 1988. She proudly served during Desert Shield, providing care to our men and women at Wright-Patterson AFB. Cindie married Roger Ouellette on May 1, 1993.
Cindie loved being a nurse, reading, getting massages and being near the ocean. She was a member of Saint Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Ouellette; and her children: Emily and Ryan Ouellette. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Mildred Latke.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 with a service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2017 all at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
