Dalton Bartlett, 86, passed away Friday, May 1st at his home in Colorado Springs.

Dalton was raised on a farm in Nebraska, and had some purebred cattle of his own when the Army called. He served in the 3rd Medical Battalion in the Korean conflict. He was discharged from Ft. Carson and was soon married to Grace Williams and settled in Colorado Springs.

Dalton worked as a firefighter, ambulance attendant, Trailways bus driver and photographer before beginning his own business, Bartlett Business Systems, which he and Grace operated for 50 years with the help of son, Dan, for many years.

He made his choice to serve God when he was 13 and was faithful in that choice all his life.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, his parents, and his brother, Ronald. He is survived by his children: Connie (Jack) Naef, Daniel (Brenda) Bartlett, and LaRon (Renee) Bartlett; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters: Dwyla (Fred) Whaley, Karolyn (Norman) Kleeb; sister-in-law, Lois Bartlett; and many loving nieces and nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
