Daniel “Chico” James Gomez, age 70, passed away on October 18, 2021. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for over 40 years and was formerly a resident of Pueblo. He was a courier.
Daniel “Chico” was born on October 7, 1951 to Dan Gomez and Mary Gomez-Romero (Dennis) in Pueblo, CO.
Daniel “Chico” was extremely fond of the Colorado Rockies. He also enjoyed visiting different baseball stadiums while traveling with his wife and had an appreciation for baseball collectibles. He attended Centennial High School in Pueblo, CO. and graduated in 1970.
He is survived by sister Kathy Smith, sister Susan Gomez, Sandy and Dale Padilla and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pauline “Pinkie” and Tim Padilla, father Dan Gomez, mother Mary Gomez-Romero (Dennis), step-father Antonio “Tony” Romero, sister Danette Croupe (Gomez), sister Francis Brown (Gomez) and brother James Romero.
A service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
