Darrin L. Johnson
Darrin L. Johnson entered heaven Wednesday, June 19th, 2013. Cancer never took away his sense of humor or love for his family and friends.
Darrin was born January 20, 1965 in Des Moines, Iowa. He grew up in Pleasantville, Iowa. He moved to Renton, Washington at the age of 15 and attended Lindbergh High School. After graduation he worked in the Asphalt industry and was part of the Navy Reserve for just shy of six years.
On February 9, 1985 Darrin married his wife Lori who was the love of his life. He became a father to his wonderful sons Brent in 1987 and David in 1992. They brought Darrin lots of joy and he was very proud of both of them. In January 2002, the family moved to Falcon, Colorado. Darrin had an amazing and loving circle of friends in both Washington and Colorado. Darrin spent many hours building and racing his car, riding his Harley and restoring antique engines.
Darrin is survived by his dedicated and loving wife, Lori Johnson; beloved sons, Brent and David; loving parents, Dennis and Barbara Johnson, of Renton, Washington; brothers, Kelly Johnson, Brad Coulson; and sisters Sheryl Martin and Natalie Larmore.
Celebration of Life Services will be Friday, June 28, at 2:00 p.m. at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado. A reception will be held following the Celebration of Life at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard.
Darrin was truly a unique and amazing individual and will be missed by all that new and loved him.
