CMSgt David Felice, USAF (Ret.) 81, passed away on February 27, 2013 at his home in Widefield, Colorado surrounded by his loving family.
David was born on December 6, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Theresa (DeRose) Felice. Dave grew up in Chicago but was able to travel the world with the United States Air Force for over 26 years.
He met the love of his life, Mary Lowden upon his return from the Korean War. They were married on October 30, 1954. While serving in the Air Force, Dave received numerous medals and commendations including: the Meritorious Service Medal (2), the Joint Service Commendation Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal (2).
Dave was also a veteran of the war in Southeast Asia and took tremendous pride in having served his country.
After retiring from the military, he worked at ITT for fourteen years. After leaving ITT in 2000, he worked at the Broadmoor Golf Course as a starter. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, golf and cooking for his family.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary; his three children, David J. Felice (and Micki Browning), Jim (wife, Joni) Felice and Mary (husband, Jarle) Wood; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, four sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services with Air Force honors will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance, “America the Beautiful” Chapel. A reception will follow at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 S. Union Boulevard.
Dave will always be remembered for his guidance, support and unconditional love.
