Debra June Barnes (Crane) beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend went home to be with the Lord at the age of 64 on December 26, 2023 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Beatrice, Nebraska on January 22, 1959; she was the third oldest to her late parents Jesse and Mary (Heaston) Crane.
Debra worked in the nursing field at several places across Colorado Springs, Colorado. She always had a heart for helping people through illness, and had a special desire to help the elderly and those less fortunate than herself. She always sought to give and leave people better than she found them. She was devoted to family and friends always offering a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, thoughtful ideas, and a giving open hand. She took great joy in showering her grandchildren with thoughtful gifts, quality time, and love. They knew her as Oma. She lived life young at heart enjoying everything from video games, cooking, movies, trips to Cripple Creek, bowling and much more.
To cherish her lasting memory, she leaves behind three loving sons, Brandon Lee Richardson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Mark Peter Gordon of Englewood, Colorado; and Bobby Don Dickson (wife Lynette) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; precious grandchildren: Shayd, Jack (Lex), Lylia, Natalie, Sebastian, and Aylina; her siblings: Jesse, Barbara (husband Art), and Ratt (wife Glendora); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving family and friends. She is reunited in Heaven with her late parents, brothers Timothy and Jacob, and loving family friends.
A Celebration of her Life will take place Friday, January 26, 2024 starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel located at 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs.
Psalm 3:3 “But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter up of my head.”
