Diane Trenton (nee Cozad), age 84, passed away on February 5, 2025 and was a resident of Colorado Springs for 15 years. She was formerly a resident of Aurora, Colorado. She was a homemaker and later worked as a laboratory technician at Children’s Hospital, Aurora, Colorado.

Diane was born on November 30, 1940 to Harvey Biggerstaff and Ruth Cozad. Diane was fond of crossword puzzles, the more difficult the better! She was an amazing author in her own right and while she never had anything published, she had a knack for writing. She also enjoyed listening to her audiobooks and loved a good round of scrabble! While she enjoyed many hobbies, her favorite job was being a mom to her 4 daughters.

Diane graduated from Sequoia High School in Eureka, California in 1958 where she was the editor of her school newspaper, The Bark. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Aurora.

She is survived by her children: Cory (and Cindy) Baker; Lisa Winter; Jennifer (and Adrian) Aldaz; and Stacey Capra; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Timothy Potter; 2 grandchildren, Savannah Winter and Jessica Growth; her mom and dad; brother John Cozad; and sister Judy Cozad; many friends and her best fur-buddy, Molly.

A memorial service will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance on Friday, February 28 at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow, time and location to be announced.

Diane was on the organ donor list and after she passed Donor Alliance helped her achieve this by using her donations to help pediatric burn victims, children with cleft palate disorders and patients who had mastectomies, to name a few.

Diane wanted people to remember her as a joyful person who always relied on her faith. Her love of Jesus helped her keep a positive outlook and grateful spirit. She loved to make people laugh and had a very quick wit! She wants her loved ones to recall fond memories and laugh and smile rather than mourning her passing. She wanted people to know that she did not fear death and is happy and content!
