Dianna J. McKellar passed away on April 6, 2024 at the age of 81. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 2 years. Prior to moving to Colorado Springs, she resided for 40 years in Rescue, CA. She was a high school teacher.
Dianna was born to John Allan McKellar and Jean Elizabeth (Moe) McKellar on May 30, 1942 in Susanville, CA.
Dianna had a love for her students and a life-long commitment to genealogy. She also enjoyed her dogs and trained German Shepherds. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dianna was a graduate of California State University Sacramento in 1964, completing her master’s degree a few years later.
Dianna is survived by her sister, Sandra G. Parsell (Wayne A. Parsell), her nieces, Michelle Dana (Brent Dana), Jennifer Decker (Kenneth Decker), Heather Rogers (Ernst Rogers) and her nephew, Ryan Parsell (Christiana Parsell). She was preceded in death by her parents, John Allan and Jean Elizabeth McKellar.
Dianna is to be interred on April 20, 2024 at Jayhawk Cemetery located on Deer Valley Road in Rescue, CA.
