Dolores E. Mahoy
Born Sept. 27, 1934. Died Feb. 16, 2017.
Dolores Elaine Mahoy, 82, passed away February 16th, 2017 surrounded by her family.
She is survived by three sons: Scott Haven Mahoy, Douglas Mahoy, and Darryl Mahoy; and one grandchild, Nicolas Mahoy. Dolores resided in Colorado Springs for the last 20 years.
Dolores was born on September 27, 1934 to Eugene and Frances Pocan in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She attended the Chicago Institute of Art. She met her husband, Richard Allen Mahoy, in Chicago and they were married in Milwaukee on June 18, 1959. After Milwaukee the family lived in Boston, Massachusetts; Largo, Florida; New Berlin, Wisconsin; and then Grand Rapids, Michigan. After Dolores’ husband passed away in 1979, she obtained an associates degree at Aquinas College. She then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1997.
There will be a celebration of life service, 1 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017, at the Shrine of Remembrance, “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. A reception will immediately follow at Dolores’ home.
