Reverend Dominick Joseph Buongiorno, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1968, passed away December 26, 2015. He was a minister and also worked as a salesperson for Levitz Furniture.
Dominick was born on June 23, 1929 to Joseph and Carmella Buongiorno in Albany, New York. He married Maria Estebana on November 25, 1987 in Briargate, Colorado.
He loved to read the Bible and enjoyed gardening, baseball, and the Broncos. He was a member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; his children: David (Christine) Buongiorno, Daniel Buongiorno, Debbie Cooper, and Douglas Buongiorno; his step-children: Ana (Jerry) Humphries, and Mario (Margie Romero) Rodriguez; his siblings: Benjamin, Santo, and Anna; 12 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2015 with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard. Entombment to follow at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven.
